Save the 15th St Tavern

Recently Denver's iconic 15th St Tavern was served15th St Tavern with a "notice to vacate the premises" they were given until June 29th to get out. The reason for this is that the block where the 15th St Tavern resides has been sold and is going to be re-developed.

You might think this would be then end of the 15 St. Tavern but instead of closing it's doors the tavern is planning to move the bar. Obviously with such short notice they have not had much time to plan for this.

So what can you do to help? Stop by the 15th St Tavern and buy a drink. Buy a t-shirt. Or just offer some words of encouragement. They are even taking donations to help fund the bar move. A $50 donation will get a a $10 bar tab and anything over $100 gets you the bar tab and a t-shirt. BaileyJust don't forget to tip Bailey or any of the other friendly staff. UPDATE:I was told that they got an extension and will be open through July 4th.

Another portion of Denver character down the drain. Soon there will be nothing but lofts every where you look - there will be tons of places to live nowhere to go hang out! I miss the Monkey Bean and I'll miss the Tavern.
