- The Shag Lounge
- report a problem
Rating: 3.2/5 (6 votes cast)
The Shag Lounge offers Mod decor (ball chairs, atomic-age finishes, and bartenders in outfits straight out of Swinging London), but not much else to justify the overpriced drinks. Operated by the owners of La Boheme (the topless bar a block or so away), Shag charges strip-club prices without the eye candy. On the plus side, there's a video jukebox with a whole lotta music, an open-to-the-street front wall with adjoining patio, and ... well, that's about it, really.

We love this place! The location, patio and tiki drinks. Not as expensive as other bars downtown.... Never any trouble either...that guy must have been way out of line! My girlfriends and I love that pole too. What a great idea that was!!!! xoxox
This bar is great. $2 beers all the time and a stripper poll that makes for some very interesting scenarios. Great patio and tons of very eclectic and good looking people. This is my new spot for sure.
Just visited Shag and had a great time! The prices were right in line with the LODO scence and the happy hour was more than fair, and I'm told is everyday. The DJ was very enjoyable and everyone in my group enjoyed their night. Be sure to check out one of the Tiki Drinks on the menu, the $14 may seem a bit high at first, but when you see 4 shots of liquor going into the glass it's a great deal, not to mention all the Tiki's we tried were delicious.
The decor is definitely unique and fun and the furniture was very comfortable, a big deal if you're a big guy like me. Will absolutly be adding Shag to my list of cool places to go.
