The quintessential dive bar. What this place lacks in atmosphere it more than makes up in cheap drinks. And, believe me, it lacks a lot of atmosphere. Six or seven naugahyde booths in one room, two small televisions, and an incongruous pressed-tin ceiling over the bar. Thursday night trivia (it claims to start at 8:00, but don't you believe it... get there by 8:45 or so) and Rockies games bring in an interesting mix of hipsters and Colfax denizens. Get their pricier beers for the same cash as a PBR elsewhere. Get their PBRs for a buck fifty. I didn't try the Beaver, a 54-oz. fruity concoction that will probably knock even the heartiest drinker on his ass, but you probably should.
