A great place to meet up with friends for margaritas. Watch out the drinks are strong and technically there is a 3 marg limit. Full restaurant with seating upstairs and down. Patio is great in the summertime. If you don't like to wait in a line, avoid going or get there early on Friday and Saturday nights!

I started going to the Rio in Ft. Collins (aka Fort Fun) and Boulder in the early 90's, and started visiting the Denver one in the late 90's. They have always been a place to count on for a packed, standing-room only bar on Friday's and Saturday's with STRONG Marg's. There is something to be said a place that has been like that for so long. The food is ok, but for me the key is they are consistant (both food & Margs) I always get what I expected.
I concur doctor. The margs there are really good. If you're lucky you can sneak a few more then the limit, but the after affect isn't pretty...
Agreed that it is a good place to start the night. I haven't ventured past the chips and salsa and margaritas and I have enjoyed my experience. I have heard the food leaves something to be desired... perhaps another margarita!
Margs are good indeed, though the food is marginal
Without a doubt, my favorite place to start the night. The best margaritas in town (that I've found so far)...you know they're good 'cuz there's a limit of 3 per person. You can usually get a table if you want to sit and hang out for a while, or the bar is always packed if you like a crowd.
