- Horseshoe Lounge The
- report a problem
The Horseshoe Lounge doesn't advertise its presence (next to the Dish and across from Benedict Fountain Park, on 20th) with much more than a horseshoe over the front door, but for all that it's easy to miss, you shouldn't. The bricked bar area is narrow but comfortable, with leather-upholstered stools and a bar that appears to be made of all the dice from a truly formidable collection of Monopoly games. Walk up a couple of steps and you're in the comfortable, wide-open lounge area, which features a number of couches and easy chairs, a couple of booths, and a pool table. The comfy seating would make this an ideal first-date-with-somebody-you-want-to-put-the-moves-on bar. The Wednesday we visited was a hot-rod and chopper theme night, with a DJ spinning classic rockabilly tunes, girls with Bettie Page bangs, and guys with slicked-back hair. The place was busy but not overcrowded, and we were able to have a conversation without shouting over the music.

A neighborhood bar on the edge of Uptown. Great bar/lounge with menu of pizza, subs and salads.
This is a great bar. Buck Hunter, Darts, a groov'n juke/cd box, (Ah Hall & Oats), sweet ass chairs. BUT, if you have tits and an ass, (and they don't have to be that big) don't expect to be served in a timely fashion. Meaning... If your a girl ask the guy your with to order your drink and if your with a girl, Just go some place else.
ps. the dice in the bar are sweet, on second thought, go just to check them out!
One of the few bars in Denver that you can walk into catch a DJ spinning. It definitely stands out for that reason (if for not the bar covered in dice). It's a nice space with fairly forward thinking leadership. We need more places like this one.
