The Hi Dive down on Broadway just past the Mayan on the opposite side of the street. This is a great rocker bar with a regular flow of good bands that come in to play. The place is divided into two areas. The bar area and the stage. The place is small enough that when the band starts playing, that is all you hear no matter where you are. They also have a great kickball team :)

Dont agree, the sound is crap. That dude Dario had a system in there through the 90s and the place sounded amazing. This new system is thin and flat. For this reason alone I haven't been in there in over a year.

really? 7 south really tailed off there at the end, the Hi-Dive revitalized south broadway. Love the sound. Its huge for a room that size.

What can you say, it's 7 South but the sound is MUCH MUCH worse. I used to love going into this space and watching bands but with this new system, that happens a lot less often. It's too bad really because this is one of the best small venues in the city.
