Casselman's is just outside the craziness of LODO but it offers an experience different from your typical LODO bar. A great poured concrete bar and plenty of room on the patio sit just in front of a huge event space. Look for lots of great music and comedy here. According to them they... "offer great drinks specials, a gorgeous staff and our venue is themed for an alternative demographic! If you hate dress codes and cover charges and are a skater, biker, surfer, band, fan, groupie, punk, goth, smoker, redneck, emo or anything even remotely close....then COME CHECK US OUT"

Absolutely my favorite LoDo bar. Close enough to walk, but far enough to keep the bad seeds away. The staff is friendly and the food is great (best sliders in Denver, hands down). Best of all, the Denver tech community holds all of their events in the huge back room, so you know there's always something interesting going on.
Don't bother. Went there their first week open but they didn't have their menu finalized yet. Who opens without being ready with a full menu? Looks nice on the inside, but not worth the expensive drinks. Went there for their "grand opening" concert and got assaulted by some drunk frat brother that was aggro about the free pool. I didn't get in fights even in my younger days, so this was a shock.
All the manager on duty said was "Well, hope you come back again...". Yeah right. Even emailed them afterwards to discuss my experience and didn't get a reply. Skip this place and go to Walnut Room; they have better food, better value, and are a more responsible partner of the surrounding neighborhoods.
