Me and my friend went to Blue Ice to check out the reggae night they used to have on Wednesday. She turned her back for a minute and one of the DJ's underage groupies tried to steal her jacket. When she took it back from the girl the chickenhead who tried to rob her tried to swing on us but we walked away. We were outside smoking afterwards and the same girl came out and attacked her again. She got what she deserved and then left (she was underage and probably had warrants judging from the things she was yelling at her boyfriend when he dragged her to the car). After everything was said and done the owner Jamal finally came out when the cops showed up. He said it was my friend's fault that the DJ's underage friend robbed her because she set her stuff down (for a minute to go to the bathroom - and there's no coat check either) and that the police shouldn't believe her because she had been drinking - IN HIS BAR AT $8 A POP FOR MIXED DRINKS AND $5 FOR BOTTLED BEER - PLUS 30% TIP!!! My friend is a local promoter and never gets into situations like this and neither of us appreciated the way the situation was handled.

The overpriced drinks wouldn't suck so bad if the employees had any class or cared at all about their customers. In the end it looks like Blue Ice cares more about keeping the DJs that play for free happy than taking care of their customers who pay out the booty to try to support the local music scene. Most decent bars don't put up with performers bringing in underage girls - let alone BROKE underage girls who rob their customers and then physically attack them.
